Jn 5:31-47
Jesus said to the Jews: “If I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is not true.
But there is another who testifies on my behalf, and I know that the testimony he gives on my behalf is true.
You sent emissaries to John, and he testified to the truth.
I do not accept human testimony, but I say this so that you may be saved.
He was a burning and shining lamp, and for a while you were content to rejoice in his light.
But I have testimony greater than John’s.
The works that the Father gave me to accomplish, these works that I perform testify on my behalf that the Father has sent me.
Moreover, the Father who sent me has testified on my behalf.
But you have never heard his voice nor seen his form, and you do not have his word remaining in you, because you do not believe in the one whom he has sent.
You search the Scriptures, because you think you have eternal life through them; even they testify on my behalf.
But you do not want to come to me to have life.
“I do not accept human praise; moreover, I know that you do not have the love of God in you.
I came in the name of my Father, but you do not accept me; yet if another comes in his own name, you will accept him.
How can you believe, when you accept praise from one another and do not seek the praise that comes from the only God?
Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father: the one who will accuse you is Moses, in whom you have placed your hope.
For if you had believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote about me.
But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”
너희가 구원을 받게 하려는 것이다. (요한 5,34)
그러자 주님께서는 당신 백성에게 내리겠다고 하신 재앙을 거두셨다. (탈출 32,14)
주님과 그 권능을 구하여라. 언제나 그 얼굴을 찾아라. (시편 105,4)
하느님은 세상을 너무나 사랑하신 나머지 외아들을 내주시어 그를 믿는 사람은 누구나 영원한 생명을 얻게 하셨네. (요한 3,16 참조)
주님이 말씀하신다. 나는 그들의 가슴에 내 법을 넣어 주고, 그들의 마음에 그 법을 새겨 주리라. 나는 그들의 하느님이 되고 그들은 나의 백성이 되리라. (예레 31,33)
인자하신 주님, 주님의 종인 저희가 참회로 용서를 받고 착한 생활로 거룩하게 되어 주님의 계명을 언제나 성실히 따르며 깨끗한 마음으로 파스카 축제를 맞이하게 하소서.
나약한 저희를 모든 악에서 구하시고 안전하게 지켜 주소서.
주님의 종들을 깨끗이 씻어 주시고 저희를 모든 죄의 사슬에서 풀어 주시어 구원의 영약을 가득히 받고 진리의 빛을 따라 살게 하소서.
예수님께서는 하느님의 뜻에 따라 모든 것을 행하십니다.
이 모든 것은 이미 성경에 담겨 있습니다.
