Jn 8:1-11

Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
But early in the morning he arrived again in the temple area, and all the people started coming to him, and he sat down and taught them.
Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery and made her stand in the middle.
They said to him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. Now in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?”
They said this to test him, so that they could have some charge to bring against him.
Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with his finger.
But when they continued asking him, he straightened up and said to them,
“Let the one among you who is without sin
be the first to throw a stone at her.”
Again he bent down and wrote on the ground.
And in response, they went away one by one,
beginning with the elders.
So he was left alone with the woman before him.
Then Jesus straightened up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
She replied, “No one, sir.”
Then Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”

 

 

이른 아침에 예수님께서 다시 성전에 가시니 온 백성이 그분께 모여들었다. 그래서 그분께서는 앉으셔서 그들을 가르치셨다. (요한 8,2)

 

"그리고 이제부터 다시는 죄짓지 마라.” (요한 8,11)

 

주님 앞에 죄를 짓느니, 차라리 그렇게 하지 않고 당신들의 손아귀에 걸려드는 편이 더 낫소.” (다니 13,23)

 

주님이 말씀하신다. 나는 세상의 빛이다. 나를 따르는 이는 어둠 속을 걷지 않고 생명의 빛을 얻으리라. (요한 8,12 참조)

 

언제나 그리스도의 발자취를 따라 주님께 더욱 가까이 나아가게 하소서.

 

하느님께서는 나에게만 자비로우신 분이 아니라 다른 이들에게도 자비를 베푸시는 분이시기 때문입니다. (허규 베네딕토 신부)
