Mt 13:1-23 or 13:1-9

On that day, Jesus went out of the house and sat down by the sea.
Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd stood along the shore.
And he spoke to them at length in parables, saying: “A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path, and birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky ground, where it had little soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep, and when the sun rose it was scorched, and it withered for lack of roots. Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it. But some seed fell on rich soil, and produced fruit, a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold. Whoever has ears ought to hear.”
The disciples approached him and said, “Why do you speak to them in parables?”
He said to them in reply, “Because knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been granted to you, but to them it has not been granted. To anyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; from anyone who has not, even what he has will be taken away. This is why I speak to them in parables, because
they look but do not see and hear but do not listen or understand. Isaiah’s prophecy is fulfilled in them, which says: You shall indeed hear but not understand, you shall indeed look but never see. Gross is the heart of this people, they will hardly hear with their ears, they have closed their eyes, lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears
and understand with their hearts and be converted, and I heal them.
“But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear. Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
“Hear then the parable of the sower. The seed sown on the path is the one who hears the word of the kingdom without understanding it, and the evil one comes and steals away what was sown in his heart. The seed sown on rocky ground is the one who hears the word and receives it at once with joy. But he has no root and lasts only for a time. When some tribulation or persecution comes because of the word, he immediately falls away. The seed sown among thorns is the one who hears the word, but then worldly anxiety and the lure of riches choke the word and it bears no fruit. But the seed sown on rich soil is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold.”

 

좋은 땅 (마태 13,8)

 

눈은 감았기 때문이다. (마태 13,15)

 

그러나 너희의 눈은 볼 수 있으니 행복하고, 너희의 귀는 들을 수 있으니 행복하다. (마태 13,16)

 

피조물이 허무의 지배 아래 든 것은 자의가 아니라 그렇게 하신 분의 뜻이었습니다. 그러나 그것은 희망을 간직하고 있습니다. (로마 8,20)

 

주님이 말씀하신다. 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 사람은 내 안에 머무르고, 나도 그 사람 안에 머무르리라. (요한 6,56 참조)

 

하느님, 길 잃은 사람들에게 진리의 빛을 비추시어 올바른 길로 돌아오게 하시니 그리스도를 주님으로 고백하는 모든 이가 그 믿음에 어긋나는 것을 버리고 올바로 살아가게 하소서.

 

예수님께서는 실제로 우리에게 하늘 나라가 다가왔다고 선포하셨고 하느님의 뜻이 무엇인지 우리에게 가르치셨습니다.

예수님께서 선포하신 말씀을 받아들이는 것은 우리입니다.

 

말씀을 선포하고 전하는 것은 예수님의 몫이지만 그것을 어떻게 받아들이고, 또 그것을 잘 자라게 하는 것은 우리의 몫입니다. 과연 ‘나’는 어떤 땅의 모습을 지니고 있습니까?

예수님을 통하여 씨는 이미 우리 안에 뿌려졌습니다. 우리는 이미 하느님의 말씀을 들어 알고 있습니다. 씨를 품고 싹을 틔우고 자라게 하는 것은 땅의 역할이고, 좋은 땅은 몇 배의 열매를 냅니다. 하느님의 말씀은 우리가 상상하기 힘든 결과를 가져옵니다. 씨가 열매를 맺듯, 우리 안에 뿌려진 하느님의 말씀도 우리를 통하여 열매를 맺습니다. 그 말씀대로 살기가 언제나 유쾌하고 즐거운 것만은 아닐 수도 있습니다. 그러나 우리는 각자의 삶에서 주님의 말씀을 충실히 따르고 실천함으로써 많은 열매를 얻을 수 있습니다.
