Jn 13:21-33, 36-38
Reclining at table with his disciples, Jesus was deeply troubled and testified, “Amen, amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me.”
The disciples looked at one another, at a loss as to whom he meant.
One of his disciples, the one whom Jesus loved, was reclining at Jesus’ side.
So Simon Peter nodded to him to find out whom he meant.
He leaned back against Jesus’ chest and said to him, “Master, who is it?”
Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I hand the morsel after I have dipped it.”
So he dipped the morsel and took it and handed it to Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot.
After Judas took the morsel, Satan entered him.
So Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly.”
Now none of those reclining at table realized why he said this to him.
Some thought that since Judas kept the money bag, Jesus had told him, “Buy what we need for the feast,”
or to give something to the poor.
So Judas took the morsel and left at once. And it was night.
When he had left, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and he will glorify him at once.
My children, I will be with you only a little while longer.
You will look for me, and as I told the Jews, ‘Where I go you cannot come,’ so now I say it to you.”
Simon Peter said to him, “Master, where are you going?”
Jesus answered him, “Where I am going, you cannot follow me now, though you will follow later.”
Peter said to him, “Master, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”
Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? Amen, amen, I say to you, the cock will not crow
before you deny me three times.”
“내가 가는 곳에 네가 지금은 따라올 수 없다. 그러나 나중에는 따라오게 될 것이다.” (요한 13,36)
허무하고 허망한 것에 내 힘을 다 써 버렸다. (이사 49,4)
나는 주님의 눈에 소중하게 여겨졌고 나의 하느님께서 나의 힘이 되어 주셨다. (이사 49,5)
당신은 아버지께 순종하셨나이다. 도살장에 끌려가는 순한 어린양처럼 십자가를 지고 가시나이다.

예수님께서는 다 계획이 있으셨군요 ^^
사람에게 자유의지를 주셨기에 배반할 것을 말리지 않으시고, 그 가까이하며 아끼고 사랑한 제자들이 예수님을 배반할 것에 얼마나 가슴 아프셨는지요... 하지만, 나중에는 자신을 따라올 것을 아셨기에요. 하지만, 유다의 일은 정말 가슴 아프셨을 것 같습니다.
성실히 하루하루 살며, 허무하고 허망한 것에는 힘 쓰지 않게 해주세요.

유다의 큰 잘못은 어쩌면 예수님을 배신한 것이 아니라 하느님께 온전히 희망을 두지 못했다는 사실일 수 있습니다. 우리의 삶은 하느님께 대한 희망으로 이루어져 있습니다.
물론 우리가 유다처럼 예수님을 돈으로 바꾸는 그런 행동을 하지는 않겠지만, 돈이 아닌 다른 무언가와 예수님을 바꾸지는 않았을까, 바꾼 기억은 없을까, 바꾼 적은 없는가 하는 질문을 하게 됩니다. 내가 가진 게으른 악습들, 또 재물에 대한 욕심들, 사람에 대한 질투, 시기, 미움 등으로 시간을 빼앗기고 그것들과 예수님을 바꾸지는 않았는가 하는 이야기입니다. 주님께서는 우리에게 시간이라는 소중한 선물을 주셨죠. 주님께서 주신 소중한 시간을 우리는 대부분 나 자신을 위해 사용합니다.
